For the month of August, our catchy new video trailer is up on the big Yodobashi Camera screen in Akihabara – the Tokyo electronics district. It runs through August every few minutes during the morning commute: 7:30-8:30am. This is our second run on the big outdoor screen. Our very first video brief also ran on this same screen every morning for a few months back in late 2008.

Our World 2.0 videobriefs screening in Moscow
To follow on from the previous post… an invite has been extended for 3 of the Our World 2.0 Indigenous climate films to screen in Moscow at the H20 film festival from the 27-30th May, 2010. I think our traditional knowledge films will be screening on the Friday night (28th May) around 7:30pm. For more information check out the festival’s site: http://www.kino35mm.ru/ I also found a short Moscow times article listing the 4 day program. After finally finishing the Russian subtitles for these beauties, oh, how I wish we could be there to cheer everybody’s stories along! Raaaaa!!!!!

Our World 2.0 is a finalist in the Weblogawards 2008
Some good news for the start of 2009. The Our World 2.0 web magazine is a finalist in the annual weblog awards in the category of Best Blog Design. We are really delighted about this as it reflects the great design work from Sean and David, and the programme to make it all happen from Oleg. Launch of OurWorld 2.0 Japanese version
It has taken longer than we had planned, but we are delighted to announce the launch of the Japanese version of the Our World 2.0 web magazine. You may recall that this web magazine deals with the interaction between climate change, peak oil and food security, and that we launched the English version in July 2008. We have spent the past few months writing new articles and translating the entire web magazine. As we moved forward from now on, we hope to publish every article in English and Japanese at the same time. We are also looking for people to help us run the web magazine and for sponsors to support its future development. |
